"Show more" option in texts

I have a pretty long text on a website and would like to display just the first few sentences with a "show more" option at the end of it. By clicking on that, the whole text should be shown and unfold.

Would be cool to have it integrated in Gridbox

That would actually be a nice feature for Accordion Plugin, which I am using atm. Thought about JQuery/JS Solution, but will run with Accordion for now. Don't want too much overhead code.

Why don't you use the Plugin "Accordion" that comes with Balbooa Gridbox? That's what I use and recommend

I DIDN`T KNOW THAT i thought its a third party joomla plugin...

I`ve played around with it now. Is it possible, that the folded out text isn`t shown at the beginning? So i have to fold out it, when i want to see it?

You could create a button at the end of your expanded text and then use JQuery (easy to understand JavaScript) to trigger a click event on the Accordion Header to close the read more and handle the display/hide of Accordion Text.

Yes, the accordion it's a great idea.

In any way want to share another idea. It was Apple.com or some similar resource, I saw an opening lightbox by clicking on the button "read more". At that moment I thought that on Gridbox can be done the same with the plugin overlay section at the lightbox layout
