Date Picker and Time for Product Options

Hello,

I could really use a Date Picker and Time entry for Product Options. If the date picker had the same functionality as the Forms date picker that would be extra cool, but a basic date picker and time entry would solve a huge problem for me.

Basically, I have a site where you can book hire bikes. Unfortunately the multitude of bikes and options means that the Forms component isn't really an option (options and conditions would go into the hundreds and take an age to set up and just as long whenever the bikes changed and needed to be updated).

So the ability to simply set up the hire bikes as products, as I've done with other ecommerce plugins, is the next best thing.

But unfortunately I can't do this with Gridbox because there's no Date Picker and Time entry for product options.

Any chance of that being added?

Many thanks.

Hello Oliver,

Take a look on my screen, just created

Where:

Month - Product option with type Dropdown, from January to December
Day - Product option with type Dropdown, from 1 to 31
Date - Product option with type Tag, from 11:00 to 18:00

How to manage?
You need to set quantity 1 for each product variation,

if the specific date and time are already booked, the quantity will be 0, and the customer will be not able to book it

of course, this is not a fully-featured booking system, but as a compromise, it’s not bad :)

Aah, thank you!

I was trying to think of a work-around with the existing options, but still getting my head around Gridbox in general.

I had thought about a month and day selector, but it was the time that had me stumped, other than using text input, which I wasn't keen on.

Indeed a booking system would be better but I've had many discussions with the client around this and actually, a simple product works just fine (has done for many years).

Your example looks good so I'll see if it works out for me.

Thanks again,
Oliver :cheer:
