Zero App - Content filter with Dates

Hi All,
Zero App is perfect to create any objects which have a structure. I have created one for upcoming events. The only "pain in the ass" is, that in the Content filter plugin I cannot filter on Dates.

Could you please add a Date filter with some nice extra (as you always do): show only future events, etc..?

I currently cannot sell events. The only missing part is to filter the events based on date, as without it they are kind of meaningless. And I know Balbooa likes to create value.

@Balbooa: Thank you for considering this request!

Keep up the good work!
Cheers,
Marci

Dear Balbooa,

any thoughts on this? This feature came out in 2019 with a limited support for field types. Is'n it time for some polishment?
Thanks for considering it.

Hi,

Tons of requests...

Let's talk about this, should be something like: Today, Tomorrow, This Week, Next Week, and a date picker with the ability to select From - To?

Hi Artem,

Thank you very much for stopping by, and considering it! :woohoo:
I try to make structural request to help develop a common understanding.

Content filter changes:
  • Enable the date fields (of type Event Date, Date, Time) in "Fields" section
  • If a date field is enabled, let the admins define the needed filter options(items) with display names, for example:
    1. Item A
      • Display name: Courses you can join
      • Filter expression: [Last_join_date] >= Today()
    2. Item B
      • Display name: Courses starting in a week
      • Filter expression: [Start_date] >= Today() and [Start_date] < Today()+7
    3. ...
  • Make it possible for the admins to set a default for the date filter (like "Item A" )

Category List changes:
  • Extend the "Sorby by:" option (Popular, Title A-Z, Title Z-A, Custom) with "Based on date field XY asc/desc"
  • (or leave it on Custom, and make the sorting possible by Date fields on the Backend )

I think it could be a natural and meaninful extention to the current functionality without needing to define language dependent name (like today), and make it easy-to-use for admins and website visitors.

Thank you!

Hi Artem,

Thank you for looking into it, even if my request will be declined, I'm very thankful for considering it.

I have created these events as Products and as Zero App items as well. I don't know which will work better at the end. B)

Let me know if you need any other details which can help.

Cheers,
Marci

Your request will not be canceled. I can't guarantee that we will implement everything as you wrote above, but we will do our best to enable users to filter items by date and event date as soon as possible
