After update: All picture galleries are gone!

After the update announced today, all galleries are gone now. The folders still exist on the server, but the galleries are not displayed either in the backend or in the frontend.

Hi, Thorsten!

Looks like Gallery db tables were dropped.

The fastest way is to restore the from the backup. Usually, hosting automatically make db backup everyday.

Regarding the problem. Does on your website installed such extension as a Mightysites?
I'm asking because we have updated all our demo sites in the same way as you did, everything works fine.

Unfortunately, a database restore is not possible, because in the meantime, registrations and ticket bookings have been received, which would then be gone. CW multicategories are used on the website.

The problem: I use the gallery on different websites. On other websites I would like to use the update but not as long as the problem was not solved.

What can I do in this case to restore the picture galleries?

Hello, Thorsten!

I'm sorry to inform you, but we can't restore dropped Gallery tables (database). You need to restore your Galleries manually.

The reason of the issue is an extension Mightysites. We have tested! If the extension Mightysites are enabled. by updating Gallery all tables are dropped to blank. If Mightysites is disabled, Gallery updating without any issues.

I can't explain why Mightysites drop db tables of 3rd party extensions since we are not developing Mightysites. I would be very happy to help, but unfortunately, I can't, since Gallery tables are dropped...

I don't have this Extension at all, but the problem was the same. Restored from backup for now. But will you fix the update soon?

Do you still have experience with other extensions, except for Mighty Sites, which disrupt the update?

Is it really enough for websites with MightySites to disable the extension?

Yes, you need to completely disable Mightysites extensions (Component and plugins) in the Extensions >> Manage. In any way, create a backup before updating!

Okay, that's not what I expected. I tried to install the new Version of the gallery manually. So I downloaded the last version from your download area and installed it via Joomlas extension-installer. Again: all galleries are gone. I have none of the described Extensions active!

Will this problem going to be fixed?
