Frontside edit : Gallery -> Album -> category selection not possible

Hi, during frontend side edit article, the selection of a category of an album end with a grey overlay, showing nothing.
Album mode is enabled, Masonry display.
Working from the backend this work well, but I need edit via frontend to work (on an Ipad ). Currenty in "local" dev, no internet connection. Latest version in use, browser Brave, Chrome or Safari same thing (working on mac). Test on Ipad same result
Has this been observed already. Search in topics did not show much.

Still in progress to moving to hoster. further test : change template, no effect.
Looking at code (in develop mode browser) setting the backdrop.modal.style.display to inline-block (was hidden) I can see the block with the different catergory's after a click on the grey window. Can not select/continue but showed me data is 'there'. will update when site is available for debug
