Hi there !

I would like to show a different version of the picture in thumbs (black and white) and lightbox (color).
I read the post about adding a <img src="/images/colored.jpg)"> in the "embed code" section.
With this I can see the colored picture, but it is not adjusted to the windows-size, and no zoom symbol, so the lightbox is not really working (though navigation works).

In the database (table bagallery_items) I can find a column lightboxUrl, which is filled by the "alias" field.
I tried to fill it with absolute path (/var/www/images/colored.jpg) or relativ path "/images/colored.jpg") but to no avail.
Does this field work in some way ?
Tks and best regards
Christoph

Hi Christoph,

But will be much easier to make your thumbnails "Black and White" with help of CSS, check out this link
www.w3schools.com/cssref/css3_pr_filter.asp

Add this code into your template custom.css file
.ba-image img {
    -webkit-filter: grayscale(100%);
    filter: grayscale(100%);
}

Tks, but its not really only black/white, but also some different styling.... see attached pics.

I shall see how I can solve the styling.

Hi,

Okay, I can propose you another solution:
you can replace generated thumbnail images in the folder manually, you can find them here:
images >> bagallery >> gallery-1 >> thumbnail ...

Warning
If you change:
- Gallery Layout
- Thumbnail Quality
- Thumbnail Width and Height
- Add new Image

Thumbnails will be regenerated and you lose your custom thumbnails

So, the best is the replace thumbnails at the end, when Gallery will be ready
