I am using the free version of Forms. Maybe the Pro version is different, but...

The fields show different height space between them.
How come, why? What good comes from it?
Why does a "text input" field have a <br> tag after it and an "email" field not? What is that <br> tag useful for?
Why is there an extra empty "Div.span12" after the fields and before the "Send Button"? what's the purpose of this big space between fields and button? "Forms" have everything to be a great form extension with a simple, nice and beautiful design, but ends up just weird.

It makes it also more hard to style the form in a costume css file! ... what's the need? Why not making it more simple?

This is the only reason why I didn't use balbooa Forms before and it's the reason why It keeps me from buying it.

Don't you want to consider about using an uniform height between fields and elements, or maybe using "margin" or "padding" to set those spaces instead of extra "html tags"?

Hello,

<br> used for displaying icons into the fields, and it's not affect on vertical distance between fields!

Yes, Forms component doesn't allow to edit margin from the admin panel

Distance between we set through css
.ba-form .tool {
     margin: 20px 0px;
}

you can configure margin, by adding code into your template custom CSS file

Here is the demo of all form fields, and as you can see the vertical distance between fields are same
www.balbooa.com/demo/form-components.html

About empty span12, can you please provide us screen, with empty span on our demo forms, we can't find it

Hi,

I have the same problem, <br> break icon position in the field, and add extra space between rows. You can see it in the attached screen capture.

How can i remove this <br>? I have make a test removing this <br> with firebug over the phone icon and goes to the correct position.

Thanks!

Hi there... Thanks for the reply.
I'm sending a printscreen (the form fields are all inside the same row):

About the empty "span12", I find out that it was an empty row that I create and didn't delete when I was building the form. :whistle:
Anyway the "send" button have a margin-top of 20px and doesn't collapse, so the height between the "text area" and the "button" is the height of the <br> tag, plus 20px margin-bottom, plus 20px margin-top. :dry:

This is what I did to solve the situation (custom CSS file):
.ba-form br{ display: none; }

Hello Artem,

Thanks for the quick answer and update.

I think Forms is a great solution. I was just a bit frustrated cose I did lose quite some time trying to find out in CSS why the fields had that behavior... I didn't look right away into the html.

If I may, I would like to suggest also:
The possibility to show a popup window displaying a message when a user submit the form without filling the required fields (if possible, a customizable message).

An additional simple captcha system, something like question/answer.

A way to control the responsive behavior of fields.

... and the possibility to display a PopUp form, something maybe for "Forms PRO" ;-)

Thanks again :)

Hey Artem,

I am sorry, maybe I need to tune something now in joomla configurations, but after updating to Forms1.6.3, the fields disappeared from the page.

I'm performing experiences in a Xampp server with PHP 7.0.13. Joomla version 3.6.4 and using Helix 1.7. framework.

Any ideas?
