Custom Payment Gateways

Hello, I have a friend who I built their site for and needs to create a custom Authorize.net payment method. They need an authorize only transaction with a payment profile ID created. We had this working with a different form but something changed and it's not working. I want to stick with Balbooa if possible.

Can this be done with this option? If so can the existing plugin be used for an example?

Yes, this doc describes how to add a custom payment gateway to Forms.

I have another question about customizing the form if I need to connect an API from a platform to move submitted data. Is there a way to do that with something like this?

I want to accept donations, and the nonprofit LGL system allows external input to be added via API. So they don't have to manually add new donors.
