Balbooa Help Center: Displaying number of form submissions in a Joomla Custom module (1/1)

Hi,
We've setup an event registration form. The form is embedded in a Joomla article using the [forms ID=..] tag. The article is linked from a Joomla custom module. Everything is working so far.

We've now got the requirement to display the number of forms submissions so far on a) the custom module, and b) on the article (above the form).

Is there a way to achieve this out of the box? If not, do we need to code a custom plugin? What else? If a plugin is due, would you be able to help with a sample plugin?
