Hi Balboa Team,

hopefully you can help me with this: I wanted to add the Joomla Language switcher (new Gridbox Plugin --> Add Joomla Module --> Language Switcher) but it doesn't display anything after adding the module. I can see the module-title after adding it, but there are no flags or dropdown displayed.
I've two languages installed so it should work, not really sure what is going on here. I leave a ticket with site access for you just in case.

Cheers,
Mario

Hello,
Thank you for contacting us

You need to enable plugins

Hello,

I enabled both plugins but the problem is still the same.
I tried switching from flags to dropdown in the plugin, but that didn't change anything either.

Hello,
thanks for the help (really great guide btw!).

Sadly I still have a problem (or I'm just exceptionally derpy today):
Every time I want to add the english menu module with gridbox it is empty. I am pretty sure I set up the menu structure and everything else right (followed your guide from start to finish).
Since the language switcher is working now I can't be too far off I hope.

Hello,

Thank you for contacting us

For EN pages, you need to use the menu module id = 118, In the editor, it does not show, because you have the DE page selected on the frontend.
Now everything works well you can check

Weird, I am absolutely sure I had module 118 selected (I tried at least 30 times) and it was always added empty, but I found out what the problem was:

When loading the gridbox editor it always had the german url (index.php/de/?.....). When I replaced the "de" with "en" I could add the menu with gridbox no problem. The german menu that was present at the time of switching the URL to "en" on the other hand was displayed empty.

Is that a problem if you have your standard language set to anything other than english?
Maybe it worked for you first try because I set your default language to english on account creation?

Either way - it works now. Thanks for helping :)
