For some reason the buttons on my slideshow have stopped working.

vic.childcarealliance.org.au

Any suggestions on how I can fix this?

Thanks,
Neil

Hello,

You need to change your custom code to:
.slideshow-wrapper div:not(.ba-overlay) div[style],
.slideshow-wrapper div[style]:not(.ba-overlay) {
    margin: 0 !important;
    height: auto !important;
}

Hi,

I made the change as suggested but the slideshow buttons are still not working.

(This is happening on my other sites too)

qld.childcarealliance.org.au/
wa.childcarealliance.org.au/

Perhaps this is something to do with the Joomla 3.9.4 update?

Do you need admin details to investigate further?

Neil

You need to delete the old code.

The problem is not with updating.
This happens because of one of your extensions (most often System - JomComdev Image or System - RokBox).
This extensions wraps the slideshow in an infinite number of <div> tags.

You need to find which extension does it, disable it and re-recreate the slideshow

Thanks - I was confused as that code was in two places from two previous fixes for similar issues with the slideshow. I've removed it in both places on all the sites and now the buttons work again.

I appreciate your support.

Thanks,
Neil

Sorry - but the buttons on my slides on childcarealliance.org.au have stopped working again. Would you please take a quick look and suggest a css fix for me?
Thanks,

Hello,
Thank you for contacting us

You need to use this code.
.slideshow-wrapper div:not(.ba-overlay) div[style], .slideshow-wrapper div[style]:not(.ba-overlay) {
    margin: 0 !important;
    height: 100% !important;
    overflow: visible !important;
    position: initial !important;
}

That fixed it. Awesome! Thanks so much!

Earlier today I did go through and uninstall most of my old Rockettheme plugins except Rokajax search but I didn't try to recreate the slideshow.

Are you saying I need to try starting a new slideshow from scratch after doing that to see if that fixes the issue next time?

You need to re-create the slide show (with the third-party extension disabled) without changes in HTML.

My other website's slideshow has stopped working too and I'm not sure which extension has caused the conflict.

qld.childcarealliance.org.au

I recreated the Slideshow and tried adding your previous CSS code but the arrows aren't working and it doesn't autoplay.

.slideshow-wrapper div:not(.ba-overlay) div[style], .slideshow-wrapper div[style]:not(.ba-overlay) {
margin: 0 !important;
height: 100% !important;
overflow: visible !important;
position: initial !important;
}

Are you able to suggest another CSS code to fix this?

Any idea what other extension is conflicting?

Thanks,
Neil

Hello,
Thank you for contacting us

This can do one of these extensions.
Carousel CK
System - JomComdev Image
System - RokBox

Or some other

I don't have any of those installed and running. The extensions left are probably all needed. Is there something else I can try?

Try it:

1. Disable all third-party extensions.
2. Remove the slideshow
3. Create a new Slideshow
4. Save page
5. Include all third-party extensions.
6. Do not save the page with the included third-party extensions.

Just to be sure....

5. Include all third-party extensions. (Do you mean enable all third-party extensions again?)

6. Do not save the page with the included third-party extensions. (Are you saying here that the slideshow will then keep working fine unless I need to edit the home page again? And if I do want to edit the home page again then I need to repeat steps 1-5 to fix the slideshow again?)

We can not guarantee that this will help.
Since we don’t know which of the your extensions and what it does.

The best solution is to check all extensions (disconnect one by one and recreate the slideshow).

OK - I just created a staging environment to test disabling all third party extensions except Akeeba Backup and Akeeba Admin tools but after recreating the slideshow and not enabling the extensions the slideshow still doesn't work.

[Staging site link removed]

Should I try disabling those last two extensions by Nicholas?

Would you like a login to see if you have any other suggestions?

The slideshow on qld.childcarealliance.org.au stopped working again.

Note: Last night I updated Event Bookings from Joomdonation so I'm not sure if that did something to Moo tools which then stopped the slideshow?

Are you able to get the slideshow running again for me until your Gridbox update that patches the issue is released?

You had it working again but we today just added a new slide to the slideshow and now it isn't working again. We haven't updated or installed any extensions since your last repair.

Would you please take a look?

Hello,

Thank you for contacting us

We checked (added new slides, deleted) everything works well.
You need to clean the cache browser, site and external (if you use it)
