Hi

I am having an issue displaying my slideshow on the home page here:

tmc.pgadvdesign.com

It works with Chrome and Safari on desktop and mobile devices.
I have cleared the cache multiple times, but can't get the show to display.

I have tested it with FF 48 and 49 (for osx) and get white area instead of images.
Can you have a look to see if there is something going on with FF compatibility or some other issue conflicting with it?

Thank you.

Thanks for the quick reply.

You had been on it to help with the library issue.

Perhaps your ip was blacklisted by our server.

Can you send ip so I can check?

I also just noticed the slideshow does not display on my android tablet .

Thanks.

FYI - I am getting repeated errors when viewing Firebug Console which start with this:
ReferenceError: deprecated caller usage - followed by a long string

While you are reviewing, I just noticed that under Slide Nav - when I choose Slides and Thumbnails, no thumbnails appear - even after cache refresh. This is viewing with Chrome (which the slideshow does appear)

And I discovered a weird behavior with the fonts in slideshow. When I went back in to change the font for the button and title, selecting any font listed would not work - I was forced to even close the font pop up window. After multiple tries, I decided to add a new font to the list, selected it and the font substitution worked. So, I decided to try one of the already listed fonts again... now they were all working again.

For some reason, adding a new font forced the font selection process to work again after it had stopped?

Hi Artem

It may be worth you looking at the site.

At first the slideshow was working on all browsers. Then, suddenly it stopped working in FF only. I had tested it on three different computers, two of which had never loaded the site - so there was NO cache involved.

While I only saw a white area in place of the show, I checked in Firebug Console and received MANY repeated errors starting with "ReferenceError: deprecated caller usage" - followed by a long string.

I believe this was identifying the underlying issue.

After your previous suggestion to recreate the slideshow, I did.

It worked for a few refreshes then went back to white as before. And yes, I too noticed it was working again now.

So, the question is "what triggered the error"?

This is concerning as it may occur again. I am hoping with the error above, you can determine cause?
Is this an issue with your script in FF only "deprecated"? I am using FF 48 and 49 which both dislayed the white area instead of show.

Hi,

Yesterday we saw the problem, but today under all browsers slideshow works fine. Latest Fifrefox on linux and Windows

Unfortunately we can't determine the reason of problem, because when we went to your website, today, everything worked fine under all browsers. we even do not login to your website.

if this happens again, please contact us

Understood.

However, I was asking you to comment on the error I included in previous post - the slideshow went down twice and each time this error displayed in Firebug.

It appears that something is not stable here and I would like to ensure the slideshow remains working - so if the error suggests anything to you as a Developer, maybe it is important for you to be aware of the cause?

Yes, it is very important and of course we appreciate that you told us about the problem. But, we must understand the reason of the problem. By other words, we need to know concrete steps how to repeat the problem.

Unfortunately, error in the Developer Console is not enough for us :(

But in any way, thank you that informed us. With strong Gridbox community, we can build more strongest extensions :)

OK - FireFox is displaying a white box instead of the slideshow here:
gridbox.pgadvdesign.com

This is exactly the same issue as reported earlier in this thread.
I am hoping you can see why so we can figure out why this is happening more than once.

Thanks :)

Hello,

try adding code at the CSS Editor :
.ba-item-slider  div:not(.ba-overlay) {
    overflow: visible !important;
    height: auto !important;
}
This should solve your problem

Thank you - that fixed it.
Please, why did this happen?

Is this a FireFox issue, component/script conflict?

Any clarification you can provide will help with preventing this issue on other site I build in the future.

Some external script destroying html structure of slideshow.
Google Chrome automatically solving this issue, Firefox can't do this., that's why the problem appears only at FireFox

But the most interesting question, why it's happening, and we don't know :(
