Hello Team!

I noticed that the Brazilian Portuguese (pt-BR) translation file had several untranslated parameters and was missing several new parameters. So I took the time to translate and add the new ones.
Note 1: Of course the new ones I got from the English file.
Note 2: I imagine that someone may already be working on this, but I thought it was fair to help with this part...
Note 3: Joomla is no longer using the language prefix (pt-BR.) before the files. I could adjust this later
Ex. pt-BR.com_gridbox.ini => com_gridbox.ini ;)

As I can't attach it here, you can download the file from this link...

I would like to take advantage and make a request...

In the "Access" plugin (Login Form) could you create a "Username" constant just for the login form? I'm gonna explain...

I use a plugin that allows me to login with email, so I always overwrite this default Joomla username constant (MOD_LOGIN_VALUE_USERNAME) to "Username or Email".
Joomla has separate constants, but as you created only one, I cannot translate, as it would also change the field in the registration form...

Please check this option, because in all my projects I always enable the email login option...

Hi,

Thank you for sharing :)

Regarding login, maybe I misunderstood something, but I don't see any problems with that

Hi Artem!

Regarding the login, the problem is that if I enable the registration form, the term will also be changed, do you understand? I will have two fields with the label "Email"
In the registration, you must keep the correct name of the field. However, in the login I can change it to inform that it is possible to login with the email as well...
For ex: Username <change to=> E-mail or Username

I agree, I forgot about the registration form. I think the easiest way would be as you wrote above, to add a unique constant for the username in the login form.

Okay, we will take this into the account

Or maybe will be better to add an option "use email as a username", what do you think?

I'm not happy with a Username, since it's an old-school using username within login or registration. On modern sites usually, it's an Email and Pass

Artem, you always bring a great option.
It's these things that hold Joomla back, because something as basic as logging in with email should be a native option...

1 - I think we should have an exclusive constant, to avoid conflict (which is something very simple and fast and will come in the next update).

2 - Implementing the login with E-mail will take some work because I believe it will be necessary to create a "Joomla Plugin" for this. So it would be good to start a discussion about it, do it calmly...

3 - Note that there are times when we cannot use the "Access plugin".
For example, when I try to access a restricted page, Joomla directs me to the Joomla login page. So if I want to login with email I have to use a Joomla plugin anyway.

Well, the language constant would help in all cases!! ;)

Yes, changing constant it's really simple and fast, but the problem is that users will lose translation on live sites :pinch:

In fact, I think that if they are included in all available languages, there will be no problem, because the value of the constant remains the same. I think it's hard for anyone to have translated this constant so far.
Another important thing would be to put it on the release's list of fixes. So before updating everyone would be notified.
I believe that the vast majority usually check the changes before updating ...
Even because this is an adjustment that can help in future implementations for the "Access" plugin...
