Hello, adding links to the icon list is creating some issues.

Part of the message is hidden for the guests. Please log in or register to see it.

The view in the editor

Adding an email link or phone link removes spaces on frontend view.

And on a phone, the text is really wonky.

Hello, well this is not really an option for me to have this disabled. I have no issues with this anywhere else. I don't see this as a fix.

This plugin makes changes to the gridbox html thus preventing correct work.
You can contact Regular Labs support

I still don't understand. I can add an email anywhere else and it will do the exact same thing to the HTML code. So it should work here too. I only have this issue with the icon list.

I don't mind doing this with columns instead. Just seemed easier to do it like this. So if it works as an icon and text field I really don't understand how it's the plugin causing it. Wouldn't this affect any HTML from Gridbox?

It does the same thing to the HTML if I make this manually.

My issue is it really is a lot of work to make this look the same on all devices. Doing it manually is tedious and the results are different. Sorry to be a pain.

So I just remembered you also have an email cloaking option in the settings. Since I am only using Gridbox for my site here I don't need the Regular Labs plugin. However, it still has some issues in Firefox and Edge. The spaces are still missing and this causes some layout issues on phones.

Any ideas?

Thank you

Is it not an option as an example to make a mailto link from the nam Dan Stevens?

So the mail adres is not shown but available as a link.

Thank you for the suggestion. However, that's not what the client provided me for the page. The big picture is the icon list appears to have a bug. I am using only Gridbox's email protection and it's still having issues. So I'd like to see this working so it can be used for this purpose regardless of the text that I want to display. It's quite handy for contact pages or other places now that I see it. Doing this manually is 10x the work.

A text field has no issues with the HTML, why should a list item with icons act like this? Makes no sense and seems like a bug. Which is fine, I am just hoping it will be solved asap.

There must have been some caching because it's working now with your email protection setting on. So that's fine.

Vyacheslav, does this Gridbox plugin protect all pages the theme is on or just Gridbox produced pages? If I have a site that uses Joomla article will this cloak the email addresses there too? It would be nice if it did.

Thank you

This will work on all pages of the site,
regardless of whether it is a Gridbox page or a Joomla article.

Hello, your email protector was disabled as well. I turned it back on and it's having issues. I am asking if you can please fix this to work with your template settings so it does not affect the layout of the email addresses in an icon list when they are linked.

Thank you

Hello, this is because all email cloaking plugins are disabled. The plugin in your theme was also breaking the email link so it was not clickable.

What can we do to fix this? Do I need to set this up on my test site?

That's because I removed the link from the items. I am setting this up on a testing site so I can leave it enabled.

Hello,

For a solution, you can try adding the CSS code in the editor.
[href*="mailto"] span {
    display: inline-block !important;
}

Tell us the result
